About Porky Joerling Trucking

Porky Joerling Trucking has deep roots in the St. Charles County and New Melle community that go all the way back to the end of World War II. After serving in World War II from 1942-1945, Pete Joerling (Porky's dad)  and Ervin Schermeir started crushing lime for the local farmers in New Melle and Western St. Charles County. Sam Joerling (Porky's uncle) soon joined Pete and together they started Joerling Brothers Trucking in 1946. They were the owner/operators of the quarry. Fred Weber purchased the quarry in 1985 and continued to operate it until 1995, at which point Shaw took it over. The trucking side of the business continued to thrive in the family. Through the years Porky Joerling has helped to literally build the community, from crushing and hauling rock for I-70 to hauling rock for the most recent home developments in St.Charles County.
